Previously, Davilas finished Chapter 1: Cantlin. He also completed a couple of Cantlin challenges: building a Cantlin Garden and raising Cantlin to Level 5. However, before beginning the next chapter, he will finish one last thing in Chapter 1.
After resuming in Chapter 1, Davilas builds a Hammerton Hothouse. The blueprint for this is earned for helping the gardening Hammerhoods in Hammerton Heights. Davilas builds this hothouse outside Cantlin because the base is already at max level. Everything required is spelled out on the blueprint. The plants can all be dug up at various locations.
As part of building the hothouse, Davilas makes some Glass at the Furnace (time 5:31). Making 10 pieces of Glass requires 5 blocks of Sand and 1 piece of Coal. When Davilas makes Glass, he learns how to make a Dressing Table and a Window. He needs a couple of Windows for the hothouse.
Soon, Davilas completes the Hammerton Hothouse (time 9:12). Very nice. Davilas saves the game afterwards.
Then, Davilas heads east to the portal to complete the chapter again (time 10:51).
With this done, Davilas starts Chapter 2: Rimuldar (time 13:21). We are introduced to Rimuldar Mire, the Swamps of Sickness. He arrives at a teleportal on an island in the midst of a poison swamp. Rubiss explains the situation in this blighted land. Then, she gives him a Banner of Hope to take to some ruins not far away. The music playing here is from the early part of Chapter 5 in Dragon Quest IV. Really lovely.
After the intro, we gain control (time 15:09). Davilas begins with the Banner of Hope, a Plumberry, a Hammer, Wayfarer's Clothes, and an Oaken Club. I'm guessing the Plumberry was Pippa's last gift. Also, he still knows the Spinning Slice. Davilas grabs the nearby Sconce and some Broken Branches and Strong Stalks before leaving. Be wary of the poisonous mire. Davilas also finds a Frogstool, which he will be able to cook.
Davilas soon reaches the remains of Rimuldar (time 16:32). He sets to work gathering materials around the base.
Davilas also sets up the Banner of Hope (time 16:58). The nighttime town music from Dragon Quest III begins playing. Rubiss speaks to Davilas and issues his mission to rebuild Rimuldar and cleanse the land of evil.
The town's first resident, a nun named Elle, arrives already (time 18:11).
Rimultar has a Carpenter's Workstation. Davilas uses it to construct a Cookfire. Then, he completes the starting bedroom in the southeast of town, and next door, he makes a rudimentary crafting room for the Carpenter's Workstation and Cookfire. Making Straw Doors in Rimuldar requires 3 Strong Stalks and 1 Broken Branch per door.
Davilas manages to make a Carpenter's Workshop by making a room with the Carpenter's Workstation, a chest, and a light source (time 23:59).
With the Cookfire, Davilas can make Fried Frogstool with Frogstool. Since this land is blighted, food will be a little more scarce than it was in Cantlin, and not much of it will be good raw. So, constructing a Cookfire is a priority.
Then, Davilas goes on to clean up much of the town. Monster attacks will be more frequent here, so I want to wall it in and build it a little higher as soon as possible. Note that in the northwest part of town, there is a block that outputs clean water.
Next time, Davilas will continue working on the town's outer wall and foundation. Then, he will work on Elle's first quests.
Thanks for watching!
