Isle of Wight Fire. A fireman with his back to us uses a hose on a building above 'Sheratts' electrical shop with televisions in the window. Lots of smoke rising. Two firemen work with extending ladder on the ground. A group of firemen place the ladder against the burning building. One of the firemen wears breathing apparatus. The firemen climb the ladders and two are seen to have entered a window into the building. A firemen carries a small child in his arms as he climbs down the ladder. Below a man in uniform without helmet is filming the scene and a large crowd have gathered. The child is handed over to an older man in a white coat, presumably a Doctor, and is taken to an ambulance. Men on ladder.
