☀️ Hey there! In this video i dive deep into why beauty standards change so fast and frequently.
I look back at the past and draw parallels with the present time and talk about movements that shaped modern day trends.
I explain that the reason why everyone wants to be skinny now is because they are sick of the BBL aesthetic and body positivity movements and currently consider thinness as aspirational and rare.
Ultimately I draw the conclusion that there is no such one thing that is beautiful, beauty is subjective and trends will forever come and go. The pendulum continuously moves from end to the other.
This video touches on subjects like modelling standards, capatalism, world building by brands, and public demand and how it affects what we see in the media.
I hope after watching this you have gained an insight and feel less pressure to commit to one or the other standard and understand why they are not meant to be taken seriously.
And that if a person wants to gain or lose weight there is nothing wrong with it as long as they do it in the healthiest possible way, that’s best for their optimal health.
