Kenya Wildlife Service has bowed to pressure to allow the passage of the Standard Gauge Railway in the Tsavo National Park. Board Chairman Dr. Richard Leakey says it was the best way out of the quagmire of having to stop the project that is already underway. He says all mitigation measures are in place to ensure that there will be no interference with the wildlife.
