You ever see those charts and memes people make ranking guns into "tiers" ... well, here's a rare glimpse of some of the methods they use to gain objective performance data and metrics to assess weapons.

Just kidding.

What you're actually seeing is barrel testing...and SPEC76 testing. For the record, these aren't SOLGW barrels. This is a different project...but I'm happy to get the lube data.
They'll fire roughly 200,000 rounds a month.

I post this for people legitimately interested in how performance metrics are assessed and data is gathered. I guess they could have skipped the trouble and just referred to the chart some dude in his basement made.
