Turkey is marking one year since the attempted coup in the country. On Sunday President Tayyip Erdogan attended the opening ceremony of a memorial statue built to commemorate the victims of the 2016 coup attempt. Some 250 people were killed and parliament bombed before the coup quashed. The country has been under a state of emergency since then, and it's expected that will be extended on Monday.
