A video by Palestinian-Israeli content creator Nuseir Yassin, better known as Nas Daily, about his views on the Israel-Palestine conflict has garnered millions of views on social media in less than 24 hours.
While some praised the video, many criticised it for equating the experiences of Israelis with those of Palestinians and ignoring the historical context of the conflict.
Yassin, who rose to fame with a long-running series of one-minute-long videos on Facebook and has millions of followers, has frequently been accused by critics of whitewashing the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
The Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) movement has previously called for a boycott of the vlogger’s Arabic content creator academy backed by the United Arab Emirates.
