Our first two #SummerofSTEM activities are all about the Moon!
DYK, on this day in history: July 16, 1969, the Saturn V rocket launched Apollo 11 astronauts from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Four days later, on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Moon.
Today, we learn all about how craters formed on the Moon, and how to make them yourself at home or in the classroom! Check back next Saturday for our next activity and let us know if you made a crater.
