Climbing mountain Tour Ronde, witch is 3 792m tall, route North Face 60°/D-. We climb that as an acclimatization climb before our main climb, route Arete Kuffner 4c/60°/D on Mont Maudit (4 465m) - will be in next video. The North Face route was in the begining of June 2023 in good condition, but it is necessary to start early (4:30 under the wall) to be above the first short stone barrier before sunset. Next aprox. 2 pitches could be little bit icy and steeper (60°). Then you climb to 2. easy stone barrier and go through that from right. When you climb it, you follow easy slope of snow (could be icy in summer) witch has slope aprox 45°-50°. In the end of this part you follow the ridge to the left and travers top stone wall of Tour Ronde from left till you meet Normal Route witch goes from south-east. Follow the N.R. to the summit.
Descent is possible by normal route called South-East Ridge II/AD. Ascent and descent took us 7 hours, and we slept in tent under the Tour Ronde North Face. All parts of route Nord Face 60°/D- we simul-climbed, so alpine FaL (fast and light) climbing is possible.
If you climbed that, have some experiences, let us know in comment.
