Bristol, Rhode Island's, Fourth of July Parade, established in 1785, is the oldest continuous celebration of its kind in the United States. With more than 10 divisions of local and national bands, as well as elaborate floats, clowns and other performers, it draws thousands of people from all over the country each year.
