Take a quick peek at every page in one of the newest books in the amazing “Extraordinary Life” series by Kane Miller. This is the best way I’ve found to engage young and (ahem) younger readers in stories from history. The illustrations and narrative are engaging and tell the story of a brave and inspiring woman! I love it!
I love this series so much and give it my highest possible rating!! This series also features books about Neil Armstrong, Anne Frank, Katherine Johnson, Stephen Hawking, Malala Yousafzai, Rosa Parks, Mahatma Gandhi, Mary Seacole, Nelson Mandela, Serena Williams, and Steve Jobs. This is a fully-illustrated book for kids ages 7-11 years old (though I think older kids and even adults will enjoy this book), written by Dr. Sheila Kanani, illustrated by Rachel Corcoran, and published by Kane Miller, a Division of EDC Publishing, and part of the Usborne Books & More (UBAM) family.
