Unifire AB of Sweden is a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art fire extinguishing systems for Incineration Plants.
Unifire designs networked systems of its Force series remote-controlled water monitors (a.k.a. water cannons), which are made of acid-proof stainless steel (type 316).
This video presents an overview of Unifire's capabilities, including the Unifire Control System (or "UCS") which allows the Force monitors to interact with each other and with other peripherals, such as the Thermotemp infrared fire detection system (www.thermotemp.de) utilized at the incineration plant shown in this video, flame detectors, valves, lights, CCTV cameras, and others.
Unifire systems range from fully automatic fire fighting to semi-automatic and manual operation by remote control from one or more control stations.
Unifire consultants work with systems integrators as well as end-users to design custom solutions for each client.
Each system is comprised of Unifire's stainless steel, remote controlled monitors (or water cannons). Each Force monitor can be set up as a stand alone system controlled by one or more joysticks up to 500 meters away, or by wireless radio remote control. Systems can also be networked and all controlled from a single station (or multiple stations), and they can be easily pre-programmed with their own unique, prerecorded spray patterns.
This video shows an installation of Force monitors protecting an incineration pit. The monitors are controlled from the master control station. Force monitors are able to efficiently deliver up to 5000 liters per minute (1340 gallons) of water or foam directly onto the fire for rapid extinguishing. The Force 80 has a range of 100 yards (90 meters) at full capacity (5000 liters per minute / 1340 gpm), and can operate at pressures of up to 12 bars (175 psi).
