This video explains and demonstrates the tools, consumables and steps required to replace the Subaru BRZ / GT 86 rear brake rotors and pads with the Brembo models. This is an OEM replacement, i.e. identical size and dimensions pads and rotors that are fully compatible with the existing NBK brake system.

The Brembo products required are:

1) Brembo 09.C662.11 - This is the only model of rear disc+drum that Brembo does for the rear axle of this configuration (vented) and this the 'UV Disc' which explains its grey look. Brembo states that 'The UV coating process provides a superior corrosion resistance and full disc protection'.
The Toyota OEM number for this is (SU00300638)
The Subaru OEM number for this is (26700AJ010)

Note that some of the vehicles come with thinner and smaller rear discs which are solid rather than vented. For those, Brembo does a basic as well as a 'UV Disc' version.

2) Brembo P 78 018 - For vehicles that use the disc+drum above, this is the only model of brake pads that are available from Brembo. Note that this only comes with 1 acoustic wear indicator per axle (only 1 out of 4 pads has it). The original Advics on has 2.
