Jordan Fields entered this 1965 Ford Shelby Cobra into this year's SEMA: Battle of the Builders, Presented by Mothers.
Jordan Fields, a member of Howler Brothers Customs, talks about his passion for building cars and the process of building a custom hot rod from scratch. The car in question is a kit car that came in 34 boxes, and Jordan and his team assembled the entire car, choosing the motor, transmission, and wheels. The car features a 427 cubic inch, small block Ford engine with a custom build intake, valve covers, and airbrush design. Jordan's experience at SEMA was an eye-opener, seeing the high-quality builds from other car builders and receiving appreciation for his work. Entering Battle of the Builders would be an honor, and building the car from the ground up was a significant personal achievement. The video showcases the passion and dedication that goes into building custom cars and the satisfaction that comes from seeing others appreciate your work.
The competition will unfold throughout SEMA Show week, with the Top 40 announced on Tuesday, November 1, and the Top 12 announced on Wednesday, November 2. The decorated dozen will examine and critique each other’s vehicles at the Show on Thursday, November 3, as they become the final judges and select the ultimate winner.
