Kuwait has introduced a new update regarding the printing of driving licenses, specifically for expatriates. As part of the Ministry of Interior's digital transformation, expatriates are now required to use digital driving licenses, accessible via the Ministry of Interior’s app, instead of physical ones. This change is aimed at streamlining processes and reducing paperwork. However, truck drivers who frequently travel outside Kuwait are exempt from this update and will still need physical driving licenses for their cross-border activities.
This move is part of Kuwait's broader initiative to digitize government services and increase efficiency. Expatriates can now manage their driving licenses through the app without needing to visit traffic departments for renewals or prints
