We were honoured to welcome Gavin Esler to King's Politics to talk about his incredible career in journalism, the future of the UK, English nationalism and how we can keep the UK together.

Gavin Esler is an author, veteran journalist and broadcaster, and was the main presenter of Newsnight for 12 years. He was the BBC's North America Editor and he has interviewed countless world leaders including Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher, David Cameron, President Clinton, President Carter and King Abdullah of Jordan, and writers and artists including Dolly Parton and Angelina Jolie. Esler is the Chancellor of the University of Kent, and a voting member of BAFTA. He stood as a candidate for Change UK in the May 2019 European Parliament election.
