This video accompanies the Isolation of Caffeine from Tea Leaves lab for CHM 132. In this video students should observe the procedure for the lab and should pay particular attention to the process of extraction using methylene chloride in a separatory funnel. This is the first video in a series of two for this lab. The procedure will continue in the next video with the work up after extraction in completed.
