[ Ссылка ] 888 282-1353 Let's talk about this wine and happy Friday everyone! Cornerstone Cellars. In case you don't know Cornerstone Cellars, they are a fantastic producer going on decades of fantastic production. The wine we are tasting out of their very deep and impressive portfolio is the 2014 Benchlands Cabernet Sauvignon. Let's talk about the Benchlands. You have basically three areas in Napa Valley. You've got the Valley floor. You've got the Benchlands. And you've got mountain fruit. The Benchlands are that area off the mountain that has been eroded for millions of years, sediment has formed, higher than valley floor but not quite at the mountaintop. It produces some exceptional Cabernet. And one of the things I really, really like is where it is sourced from. They source from great sub-AVAs. They get a percentage from St. Helena. A percentage from Oakville. They get a percentage from Oak Knoll. And a percentage from Yountville. Let's talk about Yountville. This is where Cornerstone Cellars' tasting room is located. Their tasting room in Yountville, what I refer to as the gastro-epicenter of the world is literally one of the greatest places to walk and eat in the country. Walk in the tasting room as a stranger, leave as a friend and taste through a wide portfolio of wines - rosés, pinots, cab, to blends. They are so hospitable, this is what tasting rooms should model themselves after.
Let's talk about the blend of the Benchlands. Cab dominant. 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot. 3% Cabernet Franc. That is a great blend. Also a pretty good sized production at 1500 cases. Alcohol is 14.9%. I'm drooling I'm so excited about this! Brilliance, sheer luxury in a glass. Ruby, deep garnet color. Dark black cherry, plums, some blackberry, chocolate, vanilla. And cinnamon roll - that's a pretty good aroma! Medium body. The tannins are there, but they aren't pushy. They are present, a little bit sweet. The finish is wickedly silky and long. I would give it some time in a decanter perhaps, let it air out a little bit. Another thing that is unique is about this is the winemaking team - Kari Auringer and Charles Thomas. Google them. It is quite a pairing, if you will. It is really the people from Cornerstone from top to bottom that make the difference. From the founders, who are doctors, to wanting to craft the best wines possible. To their location in Yountville. Awesome tasting room. Fruit sources they have up and down the valley for the past twenty some odd years. Anyone I've been in contact with Cornerstone has been fantastic.
We need your help for the hurricane relief. We are trying to catch J.J. Watt. If anybody knows J.J. Watt, send him this video because we are trying to catch him. He has raised $37 million on his Go Fund Me when he was trying to raise $200,000. We have a ways to go. But we can't do it without you. And you are the one's making all the difference. Do yourselves a favor. Cook someone a meal. Bring them a bottle of wine. Say hello to our friends at Mangia TV and be good to one another. Thanks so much for all your support.
