박근혜 내일 소환...
We're less than a day away from the questioning of impeached former president Park Geun-hye... by state prosecutors.
Park becomes the fourth disgraced former leader to be grilled by the prosecution in Korea's Constitutional history.
Our Kim Jung-soo brings us up to date.
Former President Park-Geun hye is set to appear at the Special Investigations Headquarters for questioning as a suspect on Tuesday morning -- just over a week after she was impeached and stripped of her presidential immunity from prosecution.
State prosecutors are picking up where the independent counsel left off after its investigation ended on February 28th.
The prosecutors' investigation team questioned SK Group chairman Choi Taewon on Saturday in relation to the Choi Soon-sil power abuse probe... and on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. it will question its biggest target yet: former President Park Geun-hye.
Park is facing a combined 13 charges -- eight leveled by the special investigation team and five by the independent counsel.
The list includes abuse of power, sharing state secrets, bribery and extortion.
The independent counsel's lead prosecutor Park Young-soo had said on March 6th that Park had conspired with her longtime confidante Choi Soon-sil to extort over 37 million dollars from Samsung Group in return for political favors.
She has also been accused of collecting bribes from other conglomerates.
If found guilty, Park can be sentenced to more than 10 years in prison.
Park has consistently denied the charges against her, saying that the donations from the conglomerates were voluntary in nature... and that she had no control over two-government-linked foundations -- Mir and K Sports -- that allegedly funneled the money.
Park and her lawyers have reportedly spent the last week preparing for the interrogation on Tuesday.
