The murdered 21-year-old Bongeka Makhathini and her 3-year-old have been laid to rest in UMgababa Kwa-Zulu Natal, after they suffered a gruesome death allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend Mlondi Cele.
The premier of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Thami Ntuli, attended the funeral, and called for a collective effort to end gender-based violence.
