Crazy summer snow skiers on mine tailings rock on a ski day never forgotten. The straight ski era also had extreme rad ski enthusiasts who loved adventure. Over the bar one night in 1987, I asked these Santa Fe ski bums, "who wanted to try rock skiing?", and the next day we made it happen. Off we went with their rock skis to the slides above Cerrillios and Madrid. Sorry about the low quality but this was taped on an old video camcorder.
