This time my friends and I took the motorbikes to Broken Beach. It's a beautiful natural bridge with the sea flowing under it. Right next to it is Angel's Billabong, a naturally carved infinity pool. Since it was high tide, big waves rushed into it so it was too dangerous to swim in. Some people have died doing that. Afterwards, we rode a little ways further to get to a hidden beach that Jay's friend knew about. I couldn't even track how we got there and it was a bit of a hike to get to it. Most of the locals didn't even know about this beach so it was awesome to get to see it. Very few, if any, tourists have. Then we rode to Crystal Bay, a popular tourist site where we ate and went snorkeling to see the fish and coral. I liked walking in the coconut farm right next to it. We then had to catch the ferry back to Bali.
Nusa Penida is an incredible island to explore, relax, and experience new things. It is becoming more and more touristy so get there before it turns into another Bali.
