Kenya's Electoral Commission on Tuesday met opposition leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto for consultative talks ahead of fresh presidential elections due later this month.
After the talks the opposition said the electoral commission has not met its demands that it says will guarantee free elections and called for protests on Friday, while the ruling party said it was satisfied with the preparations for the polls but said it would not stop parliament from reviewing the electoral laws. The Supreme Court annulled August's presidential elections over irregularities but did not say who at the electoral commission was responsible. Sarah Kimani reports.
