In todays video we kick it old school and build the Lego Advanced Models Volkswagen T1 Camper Van set #10220, with 1,334 pieces from 2011. This is possibly a very familiar build, if you have been watching my channel for some time now. I picked this up form my local Bricks and Minifigs back in late March, Early April. Due to age of the set I was very cautious on whether to build it or not. It has only increased $30 in value since new, so that was a decision factor leaning towards building it, but recently I decided it was time because I notice the box got a tad roughed up in my possession. When my investor and I originally decided to buy this build, it was because we love vehicle models, but we really loved the detail this one seemed to have. Final thing to not this is an Advanced Models set, a few years after this in 2013 Lego moved onto the Creator Expert Line which lasted until 2021 when it changed to Icons. In the unboxing we find exactly what we expected from a set of this age, two books, and no number building stages, and also two tiny sticker packs. The build did require sorting the pieces before building, and took about 5 hours total. It was a very simple build, with a lot of interesting techniques. Reviewing the set we find the build has a lot of features. Such as a tile floor, seats the fold into a bed, cabinets, safari windows, a raisable roof, a sink, a table, a lava lamp, and so much more. The features of this set was highly unexpected, and I think they are incredible. I did BAT Score the set at a 94, and that clearly reflects my passion about the set. For the price it is very manageable and I highly recommend this set for anyone looking to try some else with Lego.
