UPDATE: The Prosecuting Attorney of Dallas County has pressed charges against the man who started a 5-hour standoff with Buffalo Police.
Robert Craig Mutter, 30, of Buffalo, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Resisting Arrest, all felonies.
Mutter was also charged with three counts of second-degree domestic assault in December.
BUFFALO, Mo. -- A man in Buffalo is expected to face a long list of charges, including kidnapping and resisting arrest.
It all started when officers were told a man violated a protection order.
Buffalo's Police Chief told us when officers arrived at the home, they found the man had a gun.
He ran next door and took a woman hostage.
The man eventually let that woman go.
The Missouri Highway Patrol SWAT team ended up using tear gas and more than five hours after the ordeal started, the man was arrested.
However, no one was hurt in the incident.
