The 11C bus route is currently the longest city bus route in Europe (43km). It travels along the edge of Birmingham in a circular fashion thus starting at the same point and finishing at the same point. A bit like the Circle Line in London.
As the route is circular there needs to be a distinction between the different bus directions. Hence, for the clockwise direction it is 11C and for the anticlockwise it is 11A.
