Mochovce 3&4 and Slovenske Elektrarne are both victims of huge corruption. Corruption allowed from the same management of both company and project. Blend of Italian and Slovakian cultures allowed a deadly blend of corruptible actitudes.

A corruption that has deeply damaged the quality of the plant, therefore its safety.

Mochovce 3&4 cannot be put into service under the current conditions. Too many lies are said, too many last-minute patches have been applied and too many unreported problems are still present. In this situation the integrity of the safety envelope is not assured. The safety margins, originally designed, have been gradually eroded making room for solutions introduced without adequate technical and economic resources. It means that the plant cannot be operated safely during the next 40 years as expected.

Putting this plant into operation in current conditions might jeopardize the credibility of the entire nuclear industry and its regulation. Consequently, jeopardizing the future energy programs of Slovakia and other countries.

Mochovce 3&4 must be stopped and subjected to a detailed evaluation. All the necessary corrective actions shall be stringently defined. Evaluation must be done by expert people supervised by an independent organization.
