Did you know that Agenda Item 7 of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has been criticized for its bias against Israel?
Since 2006, the UNHRC has adopted 81 out of 201 country-specific resolutions condemning Israel, ignoring major human rights violations committed by other countries. Agenda Item 7, which focuses exclusively on Israel, is discussed at every regular session, singling out Israel in a way that no other country faces.
This disproportionate focus on Israel perpetuates a narrative of bias and selectivity, undermining the UNHRC's mission to uphold universal human rights. By repeatedly condemning Israel while turning a blind eye to other severe human rights abuses worldwide, the UNHRC falls short of its own principles of impartiality and objectivity.
For a true path to justice, it's essential that the UNHRC reform its agenda to eliminate this prejudice and promote a balanced, fair approach to human rights globally.
