From here on on out, expect more law enforcement presence on busy St. Petersburg roads.
The city's police department is taking part in a statewide campaign aiming to reduce preventable crashes from drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians by raising awareness on traffic laws.
That includes speeding, distracted or drunk driving, or even illegal crossing from pedestrians. Police officers will be handing out educational pamphlets with reminders about the rules on top of a potential ticket.
