On a hot afternoon in May in Milan, I pass through some lively streets filled with bars and restaurants, leading towards the Duomo, which is the main cathedral of Milan. Construction of the cathedral started in 1386, and the final details were completed in 1965, almost 600 years later. The Duomo is central to Milan and is often used as a meeting place from where the rest of the city can be explored, for instance for an aperitivo, or it is used as a subject in one of the many photos taken by tourists.
