Saint Andre Bessette, a Canadian saint is known to the world for thousands of miraculous healings.
A very large number of these miraculous healings have been documented.

But the stories of his life clearly give us the answer as to why not everyone prays the prayer they are asking for, especially the prayer for a miracle.

Lack of faith.
As his fame grew, Brother Andre traveled outside of his native Canada and during a trip to New York visited a woman in hospital who had phlebitis, that unsightly condition in which a vein is inflamed.
The lady was sitting in her bed and was completely indifferent to the presence of brother Andre.
She did not have faith in the Lord to grant her miraculous healing, but if she had faith, she would be completely healed.
When brother Andre walked by her bed, he failed to cooperate with her in praying for her recovery.
After he left, Andre complained: “I am afraid to spend time on such visits.
There must be faith on the side of the man who needs healing, as well as on mine. ”
It is known that on several occasions Brother Andre exclaimed a little angrily about souls who lacked faith, and yet demanded that he heal them; They say, "Heal me, heal me. "
They complain when the cure is partial.
They don’t seem to understand when I tell them they aren't healed because they don’t trust in God.
They command me to heal them as if I were a doctor.
I say to people like that, "If God owes you something, go and ask him about it. "
This shows that the faith of a person seeking a miracle is not superfluous; even if someone approaches as heroically as Brother Andre and asks him for healing, they will not be obeyed if there is no faith in God.
This puts the soul in a position to pray and ask God first of all; the gift of faith.
Therefore, before we ask God for great things and miracles, we pray for the gift of faith so that we can believe what we want from the Lord.
Another reason for disobeying is when it is not God's will…
On many other occasions there was no lack of faith in the persons, but simply no will of God.
When a priest who lived with brother Andre pressured him to say why some souls did not receive healing, Brother Andre explained, “It is God's will.
When it is not good for their salvation, the good God lets me see that it is not His will.
I don't want to go against him. “
A young woman crept into the convent of the Congregation of the Holy Cross.
She carried a selfish desire in her soul.
She and her 4 siblings were left orphans, her oldest brother was their guardian.
But her brother wanted his own family and decided to get married.
His sister, however, was indignant, so she told Father Dion of her dissatisfaction with what would happen when her brother married.
Father Dion went to his brother Andre.
When she was face to face with her brother Andre, she did not tell him anything about the nature of her intentions, but only asked him to pray.
"But why? " he inquired of her.
"Only for my prayers. "
"But your intentions are not good.
Your brother should not lose his whole future because of you.
It's okay to get married if he wants to, "Andre told her, and then he told her what her prayer should be like:"
You better pray for yourself; look for a good conscience.
I will pray with you for that. ”
