How to determine the rotation of South Pole and North Pole of magnets. I used battery with the magnet to determine the direction of rotation. Put the South Pole of the magnet into the negative side of the battery. The direction of the rotation is in counter clockwise with the loop of wire.. Put the North Pole of the magnet into the negative side of the battery. The direction is vice versa.
