LAS VEGAS, Nev - Northbound US 95 was shut down in Jones Wednesday morning after a 3-vehicle accident, according to the Nevada State Police. The Nevada State Police said preliminary details showed a dark jeep driving north on US95 south of Summerlin Parkway. Witnesses told officials that jeep moved "carelessly" when front of jeep crashed into back of a silver Toyota. Police said the Toyota was then diverted to the Summerlin Parkway exit ramp, where it took a rest. Officials said the jeep was over-corrected on impact, causing it to topple over. The vehicle then stopped on its roof in the US95 travel lanes. While jeep was stopped in travel lanes, police said a white Toyota was driving north on US95 and crashed into front of jeep. According to police, the drivers of all three vehicles were adult males. A FOX5 photographer, who was at scene at the time of accident, observed a pregnant dog being taken away by animal control officers. Nevada State Police said the dog was in a white Toyota and did not suffer any injuries. Officials said the driver of the silver Toyota did not report any injuries. There was a strict closure to the north of US95 and all traffic was diverted to Jones while the police were investigating.
