AIT - Advances in Technology
HFE- High Fidelity Engineered
Treated using a Minimalistic Treatment for studio maintenance procedures/testing/benchmarking or sound referencing.
The Minimalistic Treatment is designed with a 'less is more' approach to allow as much of the original vinyl mastered sound produced at disc cutting to come through. We want you to hear it the way it was first produced during an incredible era of industrial achievements in music production and reproduction unlike anything before or after, only now with all the advantages of what comes with not only a professional-grade, digital-age-conversion-process but also, the powerful and unique specializations that are required to perform these extremely high-level, vinyl-to-digital translations.
About the "Advances in Technology Video Series" - A video series intended to illustrate the phenomenal advances in audio restoration and processing technologies, both hardware and software, that has occurred in recent years, particularly as it relates to leveraging these advances specifically for undergoing high-level vinyl translations. In general, a minimalistic approach will be applied to each project that showcases advances in hardware equipment/technology.
Folks, the studio is ready and waiting now for the industry to officially begin designating specially select legacy vinyl pressings to become 'Vinyl Masters' and then set them aside. This will then allow studios like this one to be able to procure them when needed so that we can run them through our specially designed studio and hand them over to the mastering studios with the assurance that we have been able to produce the absolute best in high fidelity digital audio sound possible from a legacy vinyl pressing and so that they (the mastering studios) can then send them to the next level as only they know how.
About the Source (Pressing) -
Well played but not enough groove wear to make it unlistenable and so it still retains much of the high fidelity you look for.
"We're all about leveraging what technology now affords and applying it to a very unique, yet relevant and vital part of a legacy recording's sound, the legacy vinyl master sound, to then 'prop it up' and help position it for where it needs to be in today's digital conversion equation."
Just how good can vinyl sound?
"....the veil has been lifted....no more muffled sounds....just the sound we once knew...only now in the fullness that's always been there, just not as readily accessible......until now!"
LegacyVMP Studios is dedicated to preserving and promoting this 'sound that we once knew' as a vital part of our legacy recording heritage. But we also are dedicated to helping it 'live again'. Will you help us 'get the word out'?
Please visit our Instagram and Facebook Pages and 'Follow Us'/'Like Our Page' and then 'Share It' to your friends.
Also, want to know how we listen to our high-end music we produce here at the studio when we want to just relax and casually listen? You can find out more on our 'tried and true' method to get the most out of your listening experience and hear every subtle detail of this high-end legacy music the way it was intended on our VRP Facebook page (see links below). The 'Big Three' at work! -
What are they?
There are three of key dynamics at work and they all come together to yield something special in sound.
I. A sound intentionally produced to the vinyl medium that is 'unique to its own' and comes from an unprecedented era in music reproduction from the 50's, 60's, 70's and into the 80's!
II. An unprecedented time in advanced audio technologies (both hardware and software) that only continues to get better.
III. An 'oddity' craftsman who has a unique background that began with a BS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology in the mid-90's, and then later, an AAS degree in Music Technology (in 2018!), plus seven years working in the music industry( including five years at a manufacturing plant for record pressing and electro-plating) and who has had a 'dedicated ear' solely to 'all things legacy' vinyl since 2007.
Bringing all 'three' together to generate some incredible results. 'Hear the difference'!
