One of the few stations on the London Underground that doesn't insist on a gateline, at least on the Westbound platform. You need to go through a gateline for the Eastbound trains. It's a station on the side of a hill, so when you leave it, you go uphill or downhill quite a bit. It's also just outside the M25, so is a 'country' station.
My very good friend Ian, reminds me that the word I was looking for is 'antepenultimate'. Many thanks Ian; but dare I visit the station before that one?
