Director of Military Psychological Services of How2Connect.com, Inc. Susan has had more than 28 years of experience in the behavioral health field. She retired from the United States Army Reserve with the rank of Colonel. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1998 and has been employed by the California Department of Corrections at California Institution for Women since 1999. She earned her Master's degree in Social Work in 1980 from Indiana University, and subsequently worked with physically disabled and impoverished individuals. While employed as a social worker, she joined the National Guard and later the Army Reserves, serving as a platoon leader, company commander, and battalion commander. She was mobilized to Fort Knox, KY, in 2005 and worked as the Chief of the Department of Behavioral Health, treating military members with various behavioral health issues related to deployment. During her mobilization, she volunteered for a six-month tour to Abu Ghraib, Iraq. Once a year she volunteers with New Directions, an organization committed to providing housing assistance for the indigent. In her free time, Dr. Rogers helps paint houses for the elderly. She also enjoys running, biking, and hiking.
