Another dreary day along the Southern Tier Line, but you won't hear me complaining! After spending the morning chasing 310 I was on my way home, cruising north along Dale Road in Dale, NY when I saw another set of southbound headlights! To my surprise it was 68N, a loaded frac sand train bound for Sayre, PA! After catching it a few miles down the road I raced to Letchworth State Park, where I received my redemption shot of the train crossing the new Portage Viaduct amidst the fall colors! They say third time's the charm, and after missing 22K cross the bridge months ago and 310 this morning, this shot more than made up for it!
