The old Roman Fortress in Gonio, Georgia, just a few miles from the Turkish border, is special to Christians. The Apostle Matthias, chosen to replace Judas in Acts 1:21-26, brought the Gospel to Georgia and the Caucas region. It is in Gonio that Matthias was martyred and buried. May his passion for Jesus and love for people challenge us to be willing to do the same! :)
