🎷✨ Jazz Under the Saint Paul MN Sky ✨🎷

Last night, Saint Paul’s Mears Park was a symphony of soul as the Twin Cities Jazz Festival spun its melodic web. MSPExcite was there, absorbing every note, though we missed Boima, who had to attend to family matters. We’re sending him our best! In his place, we met David Burton, a gem found amidst the festival’s fervor. A “random person on the street,” he may be, Boima but his jazz passion was anything but random. His street interviews wove personal tales into the festival’s fabric, showcasing a community dancing to the same beat.
Gracie Mendez, the vibrant voice of Paraiso Musical Latin Jazz 88.5, was with us, too. Lowertown’s stages transformed into sanctuaries of sound, where musicians cast sonic spells. Each artist, whether a jazz veteran or a fresh face, contributed their unique tone to the evening’s chorus.
A highlight was the spontaneous jam session that embodied the festival’s spirit—a melting pot of melodies proving that jazz is indeed a universal language.
The Twin Cities Jazz Festival is more than concerts; it’s a collective improvisation of life, a reminder that the most beautiful moments are often unplanned. Though we missed Boima, David and Gracie filled the night with their energy.
