Local e-commerce platform Qoo10 has reportedly laid off over 80% of its Singapore workforce, cutting 90 out of 110 staff due to financial difficulties.
This follows reports of Qoo10’s South Korean operations defaulting on payments to merchants and consumers.
According to some retrenched staff, the first round of layoffs began on August 13, impacting nearly all departments, with the majority of affected employees being Singaporeans.
