Recently, Central Railway undertook 6 MegaBlocks to make the 5th & 6th Line between Thane & Diva operational. The new alignment would ensure that Mail/Express trains would continue using Parsik Tunnel, while the Suburban trains would take a detour via Kalwa & Mumbra.
Coming to the video, this is my first effort to create a Video with Precap. I started work on this video from 6th February 2022, so was the precap. The video has date mentioned whenever we switch locations or trains. 27th January 2022 also happened to be the First Run of Ratnagiri Passenger with an Electric Locomotive from Diva. I reached Dombivli to get a Fast Local in return but instead got a Diva halting Fast (pain gone in vain). End of the day, it was a successful attempt to cover the newly opened Down Slow Alignment & the Parsik Tunnel in Up Direction.
There was still one MegaBlock remaining to make UP FAST Line operational, which finally brings us to 6th February, when I visited this section again in a Fast Local. During the last MegaBlock (of 72hrs) , Mail/Express trains were diverted on the New Fast Local Alignment via Kalwa & Mumbra.
