SAMBAL is a chilli paste which originated in Indonesia hundred years ago based upon my little own research. And there are hundreds of style of how you prepare and cook it. Taste will be similar if not exactly the same of the authentic one. But my recipe was based on our (family)taste of preference. This is mix of Malaysian and Singaporean style..
here are the ingredients:
12 eggs
2 lemon grass
Knorr chicken cube
2-3 tbsp sugar
belacan (shrimp paste)salt replacement
blend together:
10 fresh chillies(can be more)
14 small onion
6 garlic
thumb size of fresh Turmeric
