The objective of dive S0761 is to continue to explore the canyon system located off the channel Ladrillero in the Magallanes region. We will characterize the shallowest section of the canyon environment through sediment coring, rock and animal collections, Niskin water sampling and video transects, and in the axis and on the canyon walls. Ideally, these observations will be compared to other canyon systems in the Chilean margin. Watch out for evidence of seepage.
