This park has its special features. The trails are beautiful, and this was the location of one of the largest gathering of orb weaver spiders ever in recorded history. I felt a little uneasy after reading that. The birds are something to behold. When you reach the point on the peninsula that is home to thousands of birds your ears will be fill with either their beautifull calls or the rustling of so many leaves in the bushes that it will sound like a strong coastal breeze. It was fairly clean trail. We had to go deep into the thorns and honey locust trees to get any trash for our challenge. The geocaches are there if you look real hard. There is a very nice swim beach and a fishing bank that, according to one of the many fisherman, produces some of the largest Blue Catfish in the area. I will have to take his word for that but by the sheer number of people there fishing I believe him. This just leaves enough intrigue to make you go and see it for yourself. I challenge you.
