Cross River Partnership (CRP) was joined by Parks for London and Global Urban Design for an insightful discussion on the importance of parks and open green spaces in keeping our air clean in a post-Covid era.
The session offered insight into the mental and physical health benefits of parks and open green spaces, looking at international, national and city-level examples, and analysed the role of green spaces for placemaking in urban design through green infrastructure, particularly important when
creating a green recovery from COVID-19 and the lockdown. This was also an opportunity to launch Cross River Partnership’s latest guidance document, Creating Parklets for Community and Business Resilience, to support partners with implementing parklets as part of the Healthy Streets Everyday programme
