August 2015 saw the tenth anniversary event of the world-famous Rendezvous Parkour Gathering, in London, UK - with iconic venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and London's mighty Chainstore Parkour Academy playing host.
RDVX saw parkour practitioners gather from more than 25 countries, with guest coaches flying in from Brasil, the USA, Japan, Germany, France, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, South Korea, Dubai and more. Thrown into that mix were special guest presenters like author Chris McDougall of 'Born to Run' fame and barefoot running coach Lee Saxby, alongside parkour founder Yann Hnautra of the Yamakasi and pioneer Stephane Vigroux.
This was also the first time that representatives from almost all the international branches of Parkour Generations had come together in one place to share an event...
The result: Epicness!
RDVX proved to be a singularly fantastic event, spread over three days of training, fun, coaching, challenges, play, chaos and friendship. The spirit of parkour is one of camaraderie, constant improvement, curiosity and embracing life, and the Rendezvous gatherings have always held true to those principles. No competition, no egos, just the love of movement.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has made these last ten events so damn special, from the coaches to the support staff to the all-important participants that bring it to life each year. You're all part of an incredible community and we love every one of you.
(And yes, at the end Forrest did manage to name over 200 people without a single mistake. The guy's a freak.)
