There have been numerous recent accounts of bombings, beheadings, kidnappings, death threats, vandalism and discrimination towards Christians who are not just caught in the crossfire, but are actual targets. In the past four years more than 40 churches and Christian institutions have been attacked, and in the past two years nine Christian priests or bishops have been kidnapped and/or killed.
