(5 Jan 2018) Belgrade residents prepared for Christmas celebrations on Thursday.
In accordance with the Julian calendar, the Serbian Orthodox Church and its believers are celebrating Christmas Eve on January 6 this year.
Many people stocked up on traditional yule log branches ahead of the religious holiday.
In front of Belgrade's St. Sava church, a Christmas village was set up.
Serbian Patriarch Irinej visited the village, where he gave a blessing to those gathered.
