The Caravan of Death was the military tour that was launched on September 30,1973 after the coup d'etat against President Salvador Allende took place. The mission was ordered by Augusto Pinochet and it was led by Sergio Arellano Stark. His tour covered almost all of Chile and he was always transported on a Puma helicopter, he left blood and suffering in every city and regiment he arrived in. Arellano's tour left around 26 deaths in the south and 71 additional deaths in the cities of Serena, Copiapo, Antofagasta, and Calama in northern Chile. TeleSUR. [ Ссылка ]
