And just like that, our final installement of the "Jovi through the years" run has reached 2011 and hence its 35th and final stop! Looking back on it, it's funny how plans changed throughout: Of the material shown in the trailer in late December, these shows were actually not used: East Rutherford 1986, Pittsburgh 1993, Barcelona 1995, Essen 2000, Ostend 2003 and Punchestown 2008. Furthermore, shows like Pembroke Pines 1987, Toronto and Melbourne 1993, Osaka 1995, Wilkes-Barre 2000 or Boston 2005 had been in the works during our journey and ended up getting scrapped for one reason or the other. Just to give you an idea of how many more were running simultaneously to the actual premieres. And because of that, I have to say that I immensely enjoyed doing this another time, but can't imagine doing it for a third run right now. Don't wanna wear out the experience of it either and, about halfway through it, I started dreading not being able to choose from various years but having to stick to a timeline instead. However, it's been an intense and long run and I thank everyone for having been a part of our ride :)
This show is a rare audio recording from the band's 2011 tour that I think hasn't been around much before. And to keep it with this run's title - it's a little more diehard-worthy, probably recorded on Minidiscs at the time. Not too bad, the overall mix of the band is a bit off at the start and the nearby crowd is VERY excited, giving you a feel of actually being there. Both get a little better later on and it's certainly not a bad recording, just one you may have to adjust to a little at the start.
